Soooooo....sorry for ditching you. We really thought this would work out differently. It's not you, it's us.
I guess we've been too busy being married and enjoying being married to really document or write about being married. It was kinda assumed that when this blog was created, I (Karissa) would do most of the actual writing, while Mr. would just creatively contribute. We both fail. Oh well.
Things have been busy here. I've started my last semester of school online. It's pretty annoying and I don't really want to talk about it, so I hope you don't care to hear details. While it wasn't a planned thing, I haven't been working outside of the house, and as we like to call it, I've been busy being a stay at home wife. This situation has panned out well. Jake enjoys the clean house and tasty meals. I enjoy being able to focus on school, real life things, and helping my crazy busy husband. Thank God Jake has a job that is able to support us both and still allow us to save money for the future. It's been fun to try and see how disciplined we can be with out finances. It's almost turned into a game, and we all know how competitive I can get....
Jake finished his thesis last weekend. PRAISE THE LORD! Literally every single day he comes home and says, "Ugh I'm so stressed. I have sooo much homework to do! JUST KIDDING, I'M DONE!!" I'm praying he doesn't get any funny ideas about a doctorate any time soon, because a homework free Jake is a happy Jake (and Karissa). However, keeping him equally busy, he was hired as the head varsity baseball coach at the high school. He has literally always dreamed about being able to coach varsity someday and we are so blessed that he was given the opportunity so early in his life. Plus, it's a bonus that I really love baseball. This spring will be full of lawn chairs, sunflower seeds, and watching some boys play ball.
This weekend has been a fun one. Our future has had the lead role these past 3 days. We've learned some things, planned some things, and are just so very excited about how blessed we are and the new things we are able to experience.
Sorry to leave you once again, but it's lunch time and it's also FebruANY at Subway. Talk to you soon (hopefully.....)
